The technology is based on the use of advanced laboratory techniques, like LC-MS, to identify specific PFAS compounds in customer&#8217;s water samples (ie &#8220;Search&#8221;), This is then followed by the use of unique surface-modified granular activated carbons (GAC) that have been developed to specifically target PFAS molecules (ie &#8220;Capture&#8221;). Spent carbon used in the this process is returned to Puragen&#8217;s UK thermal reactivation facility, where the GAC is sustainably recycled and the PFAS is removed and completely destroyed (ie &#8220;Destroy&#8221;). Independent testing has confirmed that zero PFAS is emitted into the environment by this process.
