Industry has often needed a jolt to bring its focus to catastrophic incident potential; in the UK such brutal reminders have not happened in recent times. The last year has seen\u00a0 anniversaries of serious incidents in the UK and beyond that have provided such jolts: Flixborough, Bhopal, Buncefield\u2026<\/p>\n

This panel session will hear from speakers discussing the need for process safety management to be recognised and driven by business leaders , whether they are technically experienced or not. They will share guidance on what organisations, and the professionals within them, should focus on and where they can go to find help and good practices. This will be followed by a question-and-answer session where the audience can tap into the experiences and expertise of the panel. This session will be hosted by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers\u2019 Process Industries Division.<\/p>\n
