Dave trained as an industrial pipe fitter/ welder, then studied Chemical Engineering @ Teeside University. When he joined Rutpen in the 90’s, it was a small contractor, mainly serving the metal treatment sector. The business has grown from a very small team to the large privately owned contract chemical manufacturer they are today. In business he’s passionate about quality, engineering standards and recycling. In his spare time Dave races a Datsun 240Z with the Classic Sports Car Club.
