Abstract : There has been an increased emphasis on digitalisation within manufacturing. Whilst some many see this as a way to reduce cost, we believe the bigger profit opportunities will come from focusing on the topline (revenue side). In this session we will share insights based on Simon-Kucher’s Global Pricing & Sales Study and topline project experience to cover the following key: – What digitalisation strategies are companies exploring? – What initiatives are providing the best returns? – How is digitalisation reshaping pricing and sales teams?
Bio : Dr. Peter Colman: Peter is a Partner and shareholder at Simon-Kucher. He leads the consultancy’s B2B Industrials practice for the UK and Ireland.
Peter has generated strong profit enhancement results throughout his 20 years in consulting and industry.
He specialises in Commercial Excellence programmes to address strategy, sales & marketing, pricing, product management and digital transformation topics. He has worked for corporate clients, private equity-backed companies and venture capital-backed start-ups on 100+ interventions across Europe and North America.
Peter has written articles for The Manufacturer, The Institute of Sales Management, The Chartered Institute of Marketing and The Professional Pricing Society.
He is a regular speaker / panellist at conferences, an MX Awards judge and is a Member of The Institute of Sales Management, The Chartered Institute of Marketing and The Institute of Directors. Prior to Simon-Kucher, Peter worked for digital marketing and technology consultancies focusing on eCommerce and CRM transformation programmes.
Peter holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
