About this presentation
The finished products facility had started to experience a deterioration in plant performance as measured by OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). A new case packer had been installed and plant modifications had been performed. It was decided to execute a ‘Rapid Reliability Deployment’ exercise within a seven-week timeframe, to turnaround this critical situation. Customer orders were dependent on the success of this approach. The presentation will look at the various techniques applied to ensure a successful outcome. From the initial ‘Root Cause Analysis’ to determine cause of losses, Operator Analysis, Red Tagging the line, Visual Management and the development of the AM and PM program through a structured FMECA (Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis). A demonstration of the Digital Reliability Model that was used to simulate plant performance will also be featured.
