About this session

A panel of experts from the UK’s leading process instrumentation and control technology suppliers share their experiences and answer your questions on using technologies to drive efficiency and sustainability improvements in plant operations. In this 1-hour session, we’ll hear some examples of the utilisation of technology to deliver improved efficiency and sustainability within the UK’s process industries, followed by an open Q&A session where we invite you to share your views and ask the questions you want answered on the role of technology in pursuit of sustainability and efficiency improvements.

  • While working for KBC, John has carried out energy efficiency improvement projects on production plants in the refinery, petrochemical, chemical, and other energy intensive industry sectors. John has carried out a variety of project management, sales, and technical work.
  • Previously, John worked for a process plant contractor in the design and construction of process plants including gas processing and chemicals process units.
  • John’s main interests are Pinch Analysis, utility system modelling, investment cost estimation and identification/evaluation of energy saving projects.

  • John has carried out consulting projects for many international clients. He has also presented training courses in Pinch Analysis and utility system modelling.

  • John has worked for clients in Europe, Russia, the USA, and Asia.
