About this session:
The presentation will cover policy developments in BEIS affecting the chemistry sector in the past year, including: latest developments on the sector-deal proposal; decarbonisation and net-zero; future trading arrangements.
After completing his PhD in Industrial Chemistry in 1985 Lee joined the DTI’s Laboratory of the Government Chemist. He left to join DTI in the mid 90s and worked in a range of posts dealing with policies and programmes on R&D and innovation while the Department itself changed names from DTI to DIUS, BIS and BEIS. In 2017 he joined the chemicals policy team, focusing on “business as usual”.
