    HETA

HETA is an employer-led, not-for-profit training provider supporting the engineering and manufacturing sectors across the UK. Established by industry, for industry, HETA works in partnership with employers to develop skilled, work-ready individuals through high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training programmes aligned to real workforce needs. With a strong heritage in technical training, HETA has built particular expertise in supporting the chemical and process industries. From COMAH-regulated environments to advanced manufacturing facilities, we understand the operational, safety and compliance demands facing chemical employers. Our programmes are designed to develop the technical competence, behaviours and safety culture required in high-hazard and highly regulated settings. We deliver apprenticeship pathways and workforce development solutions across disciplines including process operations, mechanical and electrical engineering, instrumentation, maintenance and engineering design. Training is structured to provide clear progression routes – from entry-level apprenticeships through to higher-level technical and leadership development – enabling employers to build sustainable skills pipelines for the long term. Quality and compliance are central to our approach. We work closely with employers to ensure training reflects current industry standards, regulatory requirements and emerging technologies within the chemical sector. Our delivery model combines off-the-job training in specialist facilities with structured workplace development, ensuring apprentices apply learning directly to operational environments. Beyond technical delivery, HETA provides consistent employer support throughout the programme. From recruitment guidance and candidate screening through to progress reviews and funding advice, we act as a long-term partner rather than a transactional training provider. This approach helps employers manage risk, maintain productivity and strengthen workforce capability. For chemical manufacturers operating in an increasingly complex regulatory and technological landscape, HETA offers a trusted, industry-aligned training partner focused on building skills that meet real operational demand — today and in the future.
