Hi-Pod

Our HiPod range is a popular service offering containerised waste solutions for a multitude of hazardous waste streams. Our HiPods can be stored both indoors and outdoors, or utilised within the waste production areas, removing double handling, and providing a safe and compliant storage of hazardous waste. In addition, we specialise in the management of packaged wastes ranging in size from lab smalls to drums to IBCs. Our team will always balance the most economic option with environmental regulations, the waste hierarchy and your specific requirements. Ensuring all relevant and applicable hazardous waste regulations are followed, our team can provide specialist technical advice to complex identification, packaging, recovery and recycling initiatives.

Construction

Augean’s waste treatment facilities are located near Middlesbrough and Peterborough, serving a wide variety of land reclamation, construction, and demolition projects. We manage over 220,000 tonnes of waste from these projects with extensive permits and ISO certifications, and we can handle a wide variety of contaminants, including asbestos, hydrocarbons, and radioactive materials. Whether you require complete project management services such as sampling and analysis, excavation, and logistics, or you prefer to simply send your waste to us for treatment and disposal, we will work with you to find sustainable, cost-effective, and compliant solutions.

Radioactive Waste Services

Augean works closely with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority in their mission to clean up the UK’s earliest nuclear sites safely, securely and cost effectively. Alongside the NDA, Augean manages radioactive waste from a range of other sources, including NORM and Research Sites. Our specialist centres process by-products and waste materials from the Radioactive Industry to provide cost effective solutions for re-use, recovery or disposal. We have significant processing capacity to sustainably treat contaminated metals, solids and selected liquids. The quality of our service and infrastructure, and the range and quantities of wastes we treat and dispose under our Environmental Permits, are valued by our customers. From initial enquiry our team are on hand to guide customers through the process of safely and compliantly dealing with these often hard to handle wastes. Our technical team review all enquiries, understanding that timing is often crucial to keep a project moving. Once a project is under way, our customer service team ensure all compliance paperwork meets regulatory standards with full reporting available.

Over the past 10 years, Augean has supported a number of Operators in the Oil and Gas sector carrying out waste management services both on and offshore, on numerous contracted and ad-hoc projects.
