Chemquip Ltd
About us
Chemquip has pioneered the design, development and application of Metallic and Fluoroplastic lined Mechanical Sealed and Magnetically Driven pumps used in the harshest corrosive and environmentally-critical services.
Fifty years of evolution through innovation has created a line of safe, cost effective pumps and created the customer confidence to keep Chemquip at the forefront of user acceptance.
The knowledge developed and the experience gained by Chemquip engineers results in the best pump for the job, chosen from the most comprehensive range of advanced designs and materials available today - and into the future.
We understand our pumps will be applied on toxic, explosive and environmentally critical services and aim to reinforce the 'duty of care' our customers have shown in coming to us. To this end, the services required during the life of a pump are all available from Chemquip.

Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pumps
The CHEMQUIP Plastic Lined, Mag-Drive Pump Chemquip MNK design features:- Virgin unfilled thick walled anchored vacuum resistant linings of PFA/PTFE, PP & PE. Anti static lining also available. High temperature design - capable of handling applications up to 180oc (360of). Sealless design translates into a safe, reliable pumping system without the worries of seal failure. Reduced maintenance, longer life, and environmentally responsible. Standard Pumps to ISO 2858/ ISO 5199. ISO flanges drilled ANSI & ANSI pumps available. Magnetic Coupling power rating to 65kW (85HP). Containment shells can be bonded making them totally resistant to hard vacuum and lessening the chances of failure. Flow rates - up to 300 m3/hr (1250GPM). Heads - to 130m (425 feet). Operating pressures - up to 16 Bar (235 PSI). DIAMONDSAFE PLUS pure alpha sintered silicon carbide (SSiC) bearings provide dry-run capability allowing plant personnel valuable time to identify and rectify process interruptions before pump damage occurs. Tough all-metal pump casing armour absorbs all the loads in the system from the suction and discharge piping eliminating the need for expansion joints. Larger pipework connections allow higher flows / lower velocities. Dual non-metallic containment shells create no eddy current losses, increasing efficiencies, reduces minimum flows and increases operational safety whilst saving energy. Secondary, monitorable containment ensures more reliable, safer operation with hazardous liquids. A one piece, hydraulically-optimised enclosed-impeller with back-vanes minimises axial thrust extending bearing life and lowering operating costs. The large metal core and seamless thick wall lining increase reliability and lower maintenance even at high temperatures and flows. High-performance permanent rare earth magnets of Samarium-Cobalt as standard which provides high temperature capabilities. Magnets seamless encapsulation in PFA protects against product attack.

Mechanically Sealed Centrifugal Pumps
The CHEMQUIP SCK series sealled plastic lined pump Heavy duty with ability to handle aggressive processes Features 0 Operating temperatures - up to 180 C 0 (360 F). Thick wall housings of PFA, PTFE, PVDF, PP & PE-UHMW 3 Flow rates - to 300 m /hr (1320 gpm). Heads - to 110 m (360 ft). Impeller Types: Semi-Open Closed Vortex This time-tested series features an aluminum oxide shaft sleeve design for maximum operational safety. This shaft design is capable of meeting the heavy load requirements of the ISO 5199 standard. The CHEMQUIP SCK accepts DIN24960 Seal arrangements (single-inside / outside and Double or tandem) depending on application requirements. Our CQ4 seals allow the SCK to handle solids contents up to 30%. Single CQ4 Single-Internal Metal-free Slurry Seal for solids contents up to 10% : Double Pressurised CQ4 Seal for solid contents up to 30%:

Solids Handling Mag Drive Pump
The CHEMQUIP MNK-X/XB & SCK-X - VORTEX design Conveyance of solids-containing and gas-laden media. Vortex pumps are preferably used for media with a heavier solids content. In addition, they have relatively good gas/liquid pumping capabilities. Features Media with !Solids contents of up to roughly 50% by volume, depending on grain size and properties. !Particle sizes of about 1 to 2 mm, depending on the pump size. !Long-fibre constituents !Gas contents of up to 5% by volume are conveyed gently for pump and medium. Reliable magnetic drive or mechanical seal versions. Gentle conveyance of media with fibrous or crystalline constituents. Vortex pumps as mixers, due to the strong circulation currents, the liquids to be conveyed are intimately mixed inside the pump and then discharged. Thus a mixer may be dispensed with. Favourable cavitation behaviour, although cavitation occurs somewhat earlier than in a standard centrifugal pump, the cavitation curves become much flatter. The pump therefore maintains delivery at a slightly reduced head for longer than a comparable standard centrifugal pump. No cavitation damage is to be expected as cavitation occurs in the liquid-filled free space of the housing. Solids-containing media The large free space in the housing and the semiopen radial bladed impeller with the star-shaped vanes are the decisive factors for these conveying properties. Vortex pumps do not show any tendency to clog or experience increased wear. If the solids content >2% by volume, flushing of the can chamber must be considered for magdrive pumps using a special plain bearing with filtered pump liquid or external flushing medium. Gas-laden media Standard centrifugal pumps can convey liquids with a gas content of up to 3% by volume, above which delivery fails and is not resumed without the pump being shutdown. By contrast the Chemquip vortex pumps can handle process fluids with gas contents of up to 5% by volume (at a minimum flow rate of about 20% Q ). optimum
