About us
Our focus is on processes concerning particle design and particle engineering. We develop, optimize, functionalize and produce powders and bulk materials such as granules and pellets. The powders and bulk solids that we process are used in food, feed, chemicals and fine and agrochemicals, as well as in processes for the production of biotechnological and chemical active ingredients of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical dosage forms.
We support our customers’ product ideas from the early stages of product formulation to process development and all the way to the scale-up to production level. As a developer of technical equipment with many years of experience, we focus our competencies in an integrated service concept: sustainable process and factory planning – adapted to the individual technology requirements of our customers.

Glatt PHOS4green technology: Phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge ashes and convertion into standardized fertilizer
Glatt PHOS4green technology is a groundbreaking waste-free process that recycles the phosphorus from ash to produce ready-to-use high-quality fertilizers. In the first step of the two-stage "PHOS4green" process, a suspension is produced from the phosphate-containing ash, a mineral acid and, depending on the objective, other components. The suspension is then spray granulated in the fluidised bed. This results in fertiliser granulates that are available to plants and soil, which can be discharged, filled and delivered directly after the desired grain size has been reached.

Glatt ProAPP® Lab: Glatt powder synthesis reactor in laboratory scale
The Glatt ProAPP® Lab is suitable for feasibility studies, testing of material and/or process ideas and the production of initial samples and test batches. This reactor can be operated between room temperature and 900 °C (optionally up to 1300 °C). This wide temperature range is achieved by the innovative design of the reactor. The Glatt ProAPP® is particularly suitable for initial experiments with large parameter variations and for optimizing the material system. It can be operated under inert conditions in addition to the oxidizing regime. The Glatt ProAPP® Lab pulsation reactor can produce approximately 100 to 500 grams of powder per hour.

Glatt ProCell LabSystem: Fluid bed/spouted bed laboratory unit
Our all-round system for maximum flexibility on a laboratory scale: Modular processing applications permit top spray, bottom spray and Wurster coating for fluidized bed, spouted bed or rotor processes in continuous or batch operation. Whether you're dealing with spray granulate or fluid encapsulation, agglomeration for powders, powder coating or particulate coating: Anything is possible.
