Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers (GPHE)
We can provide complete new gasketed plate heat exchanger units from a range of manufacturers. The gasketed construction allows the unit to be easily opened for inspection, cleaning, and maintenance, which is particularly beneficial in industries such as chemical processing where fouling or contamination can occur. Their flexible design means capacity can often be adjusted by adding or removing plates as process requirements change.

Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger (BPHE)
We can provide complete new brazed plate heat exchanger units from a range of manufacturers. Brazed plate heat exchangers are constructed by brazing stainless steel plates together using a filler metal, typically copper, creating a strong and compact unit without the need for gaskets or frames. This design allows the exchanger to withstand higher pressures and temperatures while maintaining excellent heat transfer efficiency. Due to their sealed construction and compact size, brazed plate heat exchangers are commonly used in applications where space is limited and maintenance access is less critical. They are widely used in heating, cooling, and energy recovery systems across industrial environments.

Fusion Bonded Plate Heat Exchanger (FBPHE)
We can provide complete new fusion bonded plate heat exchanger units from a range of manufacturers. Fusion bonded plate heat exchangers are manufactured using a specialised bonding process that fuses stainless steel plates together without the need for gaskets, brazing materials, or filler metals. This creates a strong, fully sealed heat exchanger made entirely of stainless steel, offering excellent resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. The absence of copper or nickel brazing materials also makes fusion bonded units particularly suitable for applications where fluid purity or material compatibility is important. Their compact design and high heat transfer efficiency make them ideal for demanding industrial processes, providing a durable and reliable solution where traditional brazed or gasketed units may not be suitable.

Welded Heat Exchangers
We can provide complete new welded heat exchanger units. Welded heat exchangers are designed for demanding applications where high temperatures, high pressures, or aggressive fluids make gasketed solutions unsuitable. In these units, the plates are fully welded together, creating a robust and leak-resistant structure capable of handling challenging chemical processes. The welded design eliminates the need for gaskets, reducing the risk of leaks and allowing the exchanger to operate reliably in harsh environments.
Heat Exchanger Refurbishment
Our state-of-the-art refurbishment centre allows our trained engineers to test and restore heat exchangers. When heat exchangers begin to show signs of wear, our refurbishment services aim to restore equipment performance and extend asset lifespan. This may involve repairing, upgrading, or reconditioning components to bring them back to optimal operating condition. Heat Exchanger Servicing & Maintenance

Our comprehensive service and maintenance support, including inspection, cleaning, and preventative maintenance, aims to identify potential issues before they impact production.

Heat Exchanger/Pasteuriser Integrity Testing
Moody Heat Exchangers conducts integrity testing to assess the structural condition and reliability of your heat exchanger. Using advanced inspection techniques, their engineers can detect issues such as corrosion, leaks, or material degradation that could compromise performance or safety. These assessments allow operators to make informed maintenance decisions and ensure equipment continues to meet operational and regulatory standards. We provide two methods of integrity testing. Firstly, the GasTest 3000. This test uses the advanced Hydrogen gas to not only detect defects on a micron level but to identify any future weaknesses in your plates and gaskets. This can be vital when implementing a preventative maintenance plan. Secondly, the PasTest 2000 also detects defects, by circulating water around your plates to identify cracks. We provide both services to give you the option to choose the most suitable test for your heat exchangers and overall production.

Thermographic Surveys
Our newest service offering, Thermographic Surveys use advanced thermal imaging technology to analyse heat exchanger performance while equipment remains in operation. Our engineers use these surveys to identify temperature irregularities, inefficiencies, fouling, or blockages that may be affecting heat transfer. By detecting problems early, thermographic analysis helps chemical plants optimise performance, improve energy efficiency, and prevent potential failures.
