Chemical & Powder Dosing Ejectors
Our Ejectors are used globally in a multitude of chemical dosing applications. Ejectors operate without any moving parts, so are ideal to dose chemicals both safely and efficiently. Where other mechanical dosing pumps may wear and fail, Ejectors offer seamless, reliable performance day in, day out. Our Liquid Jet Pumps are designed to accurately entrain, mix and dilute a secondary liquid, eliminating the need for mechanical dosing pumps and mixers. Depending on your specific application we can manufacture systems to dose liquids, solids and gasses. We also design combination systems for combined dosing and heating. Ejectors can be designed as part of skid packages or installed directly into existing pipework. Chemical dosing ejectors are often supplied alongside our Tank Mixing systems.

Tank Jet Mixers
Our Venturi-type, in-tank mixers have no moving parts and are virtually maintenance free. Transvac Tank Jet Mixing systems are custom designed to suit the specific tank geometry and mixing requirements. Depending on the tank size, a single- or multi- jet solution can be offered with no limitation on tank size. Standard Transvac Tank Jet Mixing systems entrain 3-parts suction liquid for every 1-part motive liquid, achieving quick mixing times. In-house CFD simulations can be carried out for critical Jet Mixing applications, to optimise the mixer designs and layout.

Steam Thermocompressors
Transvac Steam Jet Thermocompressors are energy saving devices that compress low pressure steam, often waste steam, to a higher useable pressure.

Instantaneous Jet Heaters
Transvac’s range of Instantaneous Jet Heaters provide a simple, low cost, silent and reliable method of heating a liquid inline using Steam Ejector technology. Our experience in designing and manufacturing Jet Heaters spans over 45 years, making us a world leader in steam heating. By bringing the steam into direct contact with the cold liquid, both the sensible and latent heat of the steam is fully dissipated within the liquid, making the Transvac Instantaneous Jet Heaters very efficient. Transvac Heaters are also designed to perform this operation silently to prevent undue noise and wear normally associated with steam ‘collapse’.

Desuperheaters
Transvac direct contact steam Desuperheaters (sometimes known as attemperators) are used as a method of steam temperature control, reducing the temperature of superheated steam. A desuperheater’s function is to produce steam temperatures approaching saturation temperature (typically to within 3°C). To cool the superheated steam, a medium, usually water, is entrained and flashed into vapour by absorbing heat from the steam.

Steam Ejectors & Vacuum Systems
Transvac Steam Ejectors; also known as Steam Jet Ejectors or Steam Eductors are used for creating vacuum across many industries. Applications range from coarse vacuum single stage Steam Ejectors; such as rapid evacuation Ejectors (also known as ‘Hoggers’) up to 5 stage Steam Jet Ejector Systems fully packaged to produce vacuum levels of up to 25 microns Hg abs. Modern, energy efficient Steam Jet Ejector Systems offer many advantages when compared with other vacuum producing systems, such as mechanical Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps, Rotary Vane or Screw type Vacuum Pump. Steam Jet Ejectors can often utilise surplus motive steam sources on site and need no additional energy.

Atmospheric Air Ejectors
Transvac manufactures a comprehensive range of Air Ejectors also known as Air Jet Ejectors, Athmospheric Air Ejectors and Air Eductors. Air Ejectors are used to extend the operating range of Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps, boosting performance. The inlet pressure of a Liquid Ring Pump is limited to approximately 30 mbar abs because of the vapour pressure of its seal liquid (usually water). The addition of an Atmospheric Air Jet Ejector enables the Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump to operate outside its cavitation range allowing operation down to nearly 4 mbar abs.

Ozone Dosing Ejectors
Transvac Liquid Jet Compressors have been extensively used for entraining ozone and atmospheric air in water treatment applications. Using liquid as the motive force Transvac Jet Compressors can accurately entrain and mix air or gas in-line and discharge against an elevated back pressure. In operation a high velocity jet of pressurised liquid discharged from the motive nozzle produces a region of low pressure in the suction chamber that entrains the secondary gas. The two streams then thoroughly mix in the throat before the resulting mixture flows through the diverging cone to regain some pressure in order to overcome system discharge heads.

TransPAC - PAC Dosing Systems
TransPAC is a cost effective and highly efficient PAC dosing solution. A portable system, without the need for building or groundworks, it provides a flexible, safe and secure home for your carbon dosing solution. As standard, the system is equipped to dose carbon from either a silo feed or a bulk-bag mount. TransPAC provides once-through inline dosing, so there are no batch mixing tanks to contend with and the fully programmable control panel provides accurate and efficient dosing. TransPAC has no ‘wet mixing’ moving parts, which provides unrivalled reliability. Its low maintenance control philosophy even flushes the lines clean on shut-down, so you can be confident of a hassle free start up, when you need it most. It has been successfully implemented at many water and waste water treatment plants across the United Kingdom. Most importantly, it offers you a fast response option to resolve failing water standards, putting you back in control.

Universal Design Ejectors
Traditional Ejectors are fixed-design devices that are custom designed to perform at specific operating conditions. However, Transvac understands that processes are not always fixed and predictable and conditions can change over time. That’s why we invented our patented ‘Universal Design’ Ejector technology. The patented Universal Design (UD) comprises an external pressure retaining shell (the Ejector body) into which two replaceable components are fitted, the Nozzle and Diffuser. The geometry of these two components give the Ejector it’s operating characteristics. As process conditions change, the Universal Design Internals can be changed-out with new Internals which are optimised for the new conditions.

Ejector Testing & R&D Facility
The large-scale R&D facility has allowed Transvac’s Research & Development Team to develop and test innovative new Ejector designs, supported and guided by the results of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling. ‘Real world’ test data gathered from both full-scale and scaled physical testing is fed back into our CFD models, creating a ‘virtuous circle’ of product development, that has led to accelerated Ejector efficiency gains. The R&D facility is also located adjacent to Transvac’s manufacturing workshops which enables new ideas to be realised, tested and validated quickly. Transvac’s R&D Team also works on collaborative projects with Universities, such as on CCUS, as well as directly with customers on mining, subsea, nuclear and on many other applications where innovative Ejector designs are needed.
