Breckland Scientific joins the Atom Family

In June 2025, Atom Scientific acquired Breckland Scientific Ltd from Phil Tomlinson. Breckland is a well-established supplier in the education sector, recognised for its strong reputation in providing chemicals and laboratory equipment.

By welcoming Breckland into the Atom family, Atom is broadening our market diversity to include science & education and engaging with Breckland's commitment to STEM, supporting technicians, and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

Breckland customers will continue to benefit from the expertise of the existing team, with Lee and Sarah remaining as key points of contacts and the wider Breckland team supporting customers behind the scenes - plus a few fresh faces helping with customer queries and product lines during this transition.

Ordering will remain just as straightforward as always and in the coming months, we'll be launching a new website featuring the full range of Breckland products customers know and trust, alongside new additions from Atom's portfolio giving customers an even larger choice of products.

To support this growth, we've expanded into a new facility, adding (17,303 sq. ft) to our existing (34,319 sq. ft). This brings Atom Scientific's total footprint to 48,622 sq. ft creating space for Breckland's stock and our expanding distribution team.
