PowTechnology Exhibit At Underwoods AUTOMATION NEXT
PowTechnology were delighted to exhibit at Underwoods AUTOMATION NEXT event, at the impressive Imperial War Museum, Duxford.
It was an amazing choice of venue, matched by the quality of the event itself. It set it sights high, ambitiously billed as a “ticket to explore the very latest automation & controls technology that is taking our industry by storm.”
It certainly delivered, offering hands-on access to cutting-edge automation and controls solutions from world-leading manufacturing partners … like PowTechnology!
The buzz was incredible, with people wanting to explore solutions to real engineering issues.
It was a fascinating insight into the everyday situations that manufacturing industry faces, from regulatory constraints, such as AMP8 to data security.
The worlds of automation, process control and IIoT are spinning so fast, it can be a challenge for engineers to avoid getting dizzy trying to keep up!
It was a privilege to help attendees and fellow exhibitors solve their engineering challenges, not least with the first excursion for our brand new MetronM Modbus IIoT gateway.
MetronM acts as a master, using RS485 Modbus RTU to collect data from a broad range of slaves, including PLCs, meters, HMIs, smart sensors, drives and machines.
This rich, reliable, digital data is collected and transmitted via mobile phone networks to PowTechnology’s versatile MetronView platform, creating alerts and actionable insights to improve productivity, sustainability, compliance, safety and other key performance areas.
Data can be collected via a simple API for further processing in enterprise ERP and application-specific software for production, maintenance, purchasing and logistics planning.
Many thanks to the whole Underwoods Team and especially Peter Fuller, Sales Director, for an excellent event. Thanks also to Siemens for the constant support they offer to Partners, such as Underwoods and ourselves!
