BASA Hosts Its First Annual Conference, Bringing Industry Leaders Together to Shape the Future of Adhesives and Sealants.
The British Adhesives & Sealants Association (BASA) successfully hosted its first Annual Conference on 3 March 2026, marking a major milestone for the organisation and the UK adhesives and sealants sector.
Held in Milton Keynes, the event brought together more than a dozen expert speakers spanning economics, sustainability, digital transformation, cyber-security, packaging, energy, government policy and international trade. Members gained a comprehensive view of the opportunities and challenges shaping the industry.
BASA Chief Executive Lorna Williams welcomed delegates, highlighting the importance of providing members with strategic intelligence and practical support at a time of rapid change across manufacturing, regulation, sustainability and technology.
Speakers included the Construction Products Association on economic outlook; Beyond Touch on safe, strategic AI adoption; Gallagher on cyber and supply chain risks; IMSM on upcoming ISO changes; Auditel on carbon and cost reduction; Consultiv Utilities on rising energy demand driven by AI; GW Consulting International on global compliance risks; and the DWP on new employment initiatives.
The conference also saw the launch of BASA’s Product Packaging Task Force, created to help members navigate UK and EU packaging regulation, lifecycle impacts and sustainability expectations.
Delegates praised the clarity and practical value of the sessions, particularly the breadth of expertise brought together in a single event.
“With so much change happening across our sector, from sustainability and energy costs to AI adoption and global supply-chain pressures, now is the right time to bring the industry together,” said Lorna Williams, CEO of BASA.
