KKDIK (TR-REACH) Update: 30 September 2026 Set as Critical Registration Deadline
All substances under KKDIK must obtain a full or temporary registration number by 30 September 2026 to remain on the market. Updated rules also require co-registrants to complete registration within the same deadline.
The Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has published a significant update regarding the KKDIK (Turkey REACH) registration processes conducted via the KKS system. The announcement, titled “Relevant Issues in the Chemical Registration Process,” clarifies key obligations and timelines with the support of an updated flowchart.
According to the new regulation, all substances within the scope of KKDIK must obtain either a Full Registration Number or a Temporary Registration Number by 30 September 2026 in order to remain on the Turkish market. This requirement applies regardless of tonnage band or the presence of a Lead Registrant.
One of the most important changes concerns co-registrants. The previous approach, which allowed co-registrants to wait for their tonnage-based deadlines once the Lead Registration was completed, has been revised. Under the new rules, co-registrants are also required to complete their registration processes by 30 September 2026.
Companies may choose between Joint Submission (Full or Temporary Registration) or Individual Submission (Temporary Registration) to meet the deadline. As this date is now critical for market continuity, early preparation and strategic planning are essential to ensure compliance and avoid supply disruptions.
