Carrick Packaging is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of steel drums and plastic containers, specialising in injection and blow moulding. Established in 1851 under James G Carrick & Co Ltd, this year we celebrate 175 years in business.
With our uniquely diverse and modern manufacturing capabilities Carrick Packaging has enhanced its reputation for quality and innovation, working with customers across chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and industrial sectors to develop and provide custom moulded solutions.

Products & services
Caps and Closures
We offer an extensive portfolio of caps and closures from our Glasgow and Warrington Sites from 15mm diameter up 100mm diameter. Our caps can be suppled with various types of Wad such as EPE, Induction Heat Seal and Vented. We also offer plug seal caps. Our range includes Transit Caps, Spouted Caps, Flip Top Caps, CRC caps, DIN caps and can be manufactured using Virgin or PCR materials.
Aerosol Over Caps
We offer Aerosol Over Caps in 35mm, 45mm, 52mm, 57mm & 65mm diameters. With over 100 colours and matt and gloss options available We also offer our caps in Virgin or PCR material.
Plastic Containers
We offer an extensive range of Plastic Containers such as HDPE Jerry Cans, HDPE Cylindrical Bottles and PET Bottles & Jars. The HDPE Jerry Can ranges goes from 1L through to 30L offering standalone and stackable styles. Our Jerry Cans also come in UN and Non UN along with standard or heavyweight depending on the requirement. Colours are available along with PCR options. The HDPE Cylindrical Bottles range from 100ml to 1L and come in either 24mm or 28mm neck. Colours are available. The PET Bottles come in different styles such as Boston Round, Tall Boston, Sirop, Jars and come in various sizes such as 100ml, 250ml, 500ml & 1L.
HDPE Backpack Containers
The Carrick Backpacks come in 1L, 2.5L and 5L sizes are can be constructed with HDPE or LDPE materials. They are mainly used in the Animal Health Market but can also be used in other sectors such as the Chemical Industry,
Steel Drums - UN Tightheads
Our UN approved Tight Head Drums range from 1L through to 210L and are approved to carry dangerous goods for Packing Groups I, II & III. We also offer IATA Can Containers in 1L, 5L and 11L capacity. These drums are UN approved for Packing Groups I, II & III and are manufactured with thicker material versus standard UN drums. All our UN Tight Head Drums can be manufactured with either a plain internal finish or lacquered internal finish depending on the product being filled in to our drums. We offer a range of internal lacquers to suit and can provide recommendations and samples for testing. Colour options available.
Steel Drum - UN Open Tops
Our UN Open Tops range from 14L through to 210L and are UN approved for either Solids or Liquids. These drums can be manufactured with either a plain internal finish or lacquered finish depending on the product being filled. We provide recommendations and samples for testing to make sure your products are compatible with our drums. Colour options are available. Please enquire for more information.
Plastic Pails
We offer a range of Plastic Pails from 500ml to 30L from standard to UN approved, depending on your requirements. All pails come with a Tamper Evident Lid.
IBC's
We offer a range of UN approved IBC's from 300L to 1000L. We offer New, Anti Static, Food Grade and Reconditioned IBC's to meet your requirements.
Plastic Drums
We offer a range of UN approved Open Top Plastic Drums suitable for carrying solids and UN approved Tight Head Plastic drums suitable for carrying liquids. Our drums range from 30L through to 220L and can be manufactured with PCR or Virgin materials.
Poly-Composite Drums
We offer UN Approved Poly-Composite Steel Drums in 6L, 12L, 30L, 60L & 205L capacity. These drums are fitted with an HDPE Liner and are suited for products that are aggressive and not suited for mild steel plain or lacquered drums.
