TURBOTRON
The TURBOTRON® agitators are classic economic machines designed to handle a variety of different stirring tasks. The TURBOTRON® agitators are most commonly used for: acceleration of dissolving processes, temperature transfer within a medium, or simple mixing of powders with a liquid phase. TURBOTRON® agitators are used in combination with a variety of drives, seal systems and tools to accommodate a broad spectrum of tasks and operating conditions. While manufacturing custom agitators, IKA engineers determine the optimum dimensions, installation positions and customer-specific requirements. IKA produces agitators to work in a variety of situations: in open or closed vessels, with volumes from 100 to 20.000 litres, and with products having diverse characteristics and viscosities. The RK and RKG series are designed to be used with either open or closed pressure-less vessels. The agitators with shafts are mounted directly on the drive motor (RK) or the geared motor (RKG). The agitator shaft is supported by an additional bearing in the flange. PTFE graphite material is used to seal the bearing, which provides excellent running properties and maximum resistance. The RF and RFG models are designed for use with closed and pressure vessels (standard 2,5 bar) and are equipped with a massive lantern; optionally also for full vacuum and/or pressures up to 10 bar. The agitator shaft is mounted separately and can be equipped with a shaft coupling. Two seals are available for these models: special radial shaft sealing rings made from a PTFE compound or a double-acting mechanical seal. TURBOTRON® machines can be equipped with a high-speed propeller, axial turbine, stirring disk, toothed disk, beaker stirrer, slow-running anchor, skew blade or spiral stirrer with a high torque.

TURBOTRON® RKG-00-Bo ATEX
The IKA TURBOTRON® RKG-00-Bo ATEX is a powerful, mechanically controlled agitator with an ex-protected design for laboratories, pilot plants and small-scale production. It is designed for use in open or pressureless vessels for the processing of free-flowing mixtures in the lower or medium viscosity range. Optionally, it can be equipped with exchangeable tools such as propeller, turbine, dissolver, centrifugal, paddle or anchor stirrers. All parts that come in contact with the mixture are made of high-quality 316L stainless steel (DIN 1.4404). Protection against risk of injury due to the rotating shaft is optionally available. The RKG-00-Bo ATEX machines are an explosion-proof alternative to IKA lab and pilot machines RW 28 digital and RW 47 digital. The IKA TURBOTRON® RKG-00-Bo agitators, which are delivered to customers from EU countries, are, naturally, permitted for use in the Ex-area 1 (2G), temperature class T3 according to ATEX 95.

Agitators
IKA agitators are ideal for acceleration of solution processes and syntheses, temperature exchanges within a medium as well as the mixing of easily mixable liquids and solids. The agitator's primary application is the processing of flowable mixtures in a low to medium viscosity range. Agitators can be optionally equipped with a fast propeller, an axial turbine, a stirring disk, a toothed disk, an IBC cup stirrer, or a slow and powerful anchor stirrer. The IKA ROTOTRON® jet stream agitator stands out due to an extremely strong axial conveying effect. Even when it comes to less-than-optimal vessel dimensions and shapes, the jet stream agitator ensures a very intensive recirculation of the mixture while using relatively low energy input. All metal parts of the IKA agitators, which come in contact with the product, are made out of high-quality stainless steel. IKA agitators are available in several different sizes and designs according to the GMP and/or ATEX guidelines. Furthermore, on customer's request they can also be delivered with matching stands and fastening accessories.

Inline dispersers / mills
IKA represents the development of continuous mixing processes. Advantages of IKA inline machines include improved product quality and better stability in fewer passes, at a lower cost to you. In IKA inline machines, the dispersion occurs in the mixing chamber, which is reduced to the smallest volume. Thus, the mixing energy is introduced into the product in the most efficient way. Additionally, with the IKA inline machines, the product flow is directed through the specially developed rotor-stator tools. This results in a consistently reproducible particle size with a narrow distribution. IKA inline machines offer numerous advanced mixing solutions for the production of coarse and fine emulsions, as well as for suspensions, wet milling, and homogenization. IKA's product range includes several types of inline machines for various mixing technologies. Most types of machines are available in 8 different sizes and are suitable for both small scale laboratory samples and large scale production applications. All IKA inline mixers are driven via a belt drive system to maintain a constant tip speed for every machine in a series, thus ensuring scalability. The smaller scale IKA inline machines, magic LAB®, LABOR-PILOT and PROCESS-PILOT, are specifically developed for laboratory and pilot plant work. These machines are characterized by a unique design with a drive unit, seven interchangeable modules and additional accessories available for continuous as well as batch mixing processes or for recirculation type systems.

Standard Plant SPP
The approved "Standard Production Plant" (SPP) is the IKA solution for the production of emulsions and suspensions in many areas of application. Depending on its execution, the Standard Production Plant can be used for cosmetic creams and lotions, for mayonnaise or dressings in the food industry as well as for suspensions and emulsions in the chemical industry or for production of paints and lacquers. The SPP is an innovative and highly advanced, but cost effective mixing plant used for all standard process operations like mixing, stirring, homogenizing and dispersing. Due to its simple design, it allows easy operation and guarantees a constant mixing quality. Options like vacuum degassing, double jacket for heating or cooling and ports for the additive incorporation and sampling makes the SPP an ideal machine for the complete product manufacturing sequence.

magic PLANT
The IKA magic PLANT is a laboratory scale process plant for batch wise mixing and emulsifying of low viscous masses up to masses just about capable of flowing. The magic PLANT can be used for a great variety of applications. It is especially suited for processing of products from the cosmetics, food and pharmaceutical industries. The main advantages of the magic PLANT are its modular design, the integration of several functions with the magic LAB or the ULTRA-TURRAX UTC T25 and the standardizing of components. Highest precision thanks to new viscosity measurement An integrated torque sensor offers high precision torque monitoring (+/- 1 Ncm accuracy). The torque measurement data can be used to calculate viscosity (mPas) based on user selected stirrer and vessel criteria providing important feedback on the mixing process. The desired stirring speed 30-2000rpm is always guaranteed even with changes to the torque demand or viscosity of the material. Vacuum
IKA’s small but excellent product group of vacuum pumps is perfectly suitable for many dry and oil-free applications in the laboratory. The devices stand out due to their high suction capacity and ease of service. Their membranes are particularly chemical resistant, as well. The diaphragm vacuum pumps are suitable for many vacuum tasks in the lab such as separation, filtration or degassing. They are even suitable to construct a laboratory vacuum system in which you can switch any number of vacuum controllers in series according to the application. In addition, they perfectly complement your rotary evaporators or laboratory reactors.

Synthesis Reactors
IDEAL FOR ORGANIC AND AQUEOUS SYNTHESES EasySyn is the reactor system for organic or aqueous syntheses. Electrochemistry Kit
In a unique endeavor, IKA owner René Stiegelmann has partnered up with Professor Phil S. Baran of the world-renowned Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California (USA). Over the past three years, engineers and chemists have worked hand in hand to develop a product combining two divisions of chemistry communities: the Electrochemical and the mainstream Synthetic Organic Chemistry Communities that traditionally don’t have much in common.
