Since its foundation in 1958, SCHÜTZ's passion for technology has been at the centre of its development. Today, the company is a leader in steel and plastics processing and is continuously developing its products and services as well as the processes and procedures used. SCHÜTZ stands for comprehensive expertise and state-of-the-art technology.
The SCHÜTZ headquarters in Selters (Germany) is both a centre of excellence and the largest plant, and at the same time the engine and central hub for the development of the global SCHÜTZ Group. This is where the company manufactures key components for its global packaging production, develops new products and constructs state-of-the-art production systems for SCHÜTZ plants all over the world. SCHÜTZ currently has 80 production and service locations worldwide with more than 10,000 employees.
With its PACKAGING SYSTEMS division, SCHÜTZ is a leading international manufacturer of high-quality transport packaging (IBCs, plastic and steel drums and jerrycans). As the inventor of the IBC, SCHÜTZ is the world market leader with its ECOBULK/RECOBULK series of products and offers its customers complete system solutions – individually customised to the corresponding supply chain. The individual configurability of SCHÜTZ IBCs guarantees optimum customisation to the requirements of the filling product and the processes in the customer's supply chain.
SCHÜTZ products for special areas of application (e.g. for hazardous goods, foodstuffs, ex-zones) offer full conformity with international requirements and have the relevant approvals. Thanks to Security-Layer Technology, SCHÜTZ packaging has unique properties and application possibilities. SCHÜTZ stands for maximum security and globally standardised quality for new packaging and reconditioned containers.
SCHÜTZ provides its customers with a fully circular product and service offering. In line with its sustainability philosophy, the SCHÜTZ TICKET SERVICE operates within a closed-loop system, ensuring the seamless collection and reconditioning of emptied industrial packaging in all of the world’s industrial nations.
With SCHÜTZ GREEN LAYER products, 100 per cent of the high-quality recyclate obtained in this way flows back into packaging production. Thanks to state-of-the-art multi-layer technology, the recycled material is only used in the middle of three container layers. The filling product and the environment still only come into contact with virgin material. In this way, SCHÜTZ GREEN LAYER packaging helps to conserve natural resources without compromising on quality and performance.
