Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Conference to advance real-world hydrogen implementation
Call for content closes Monday 25 May, submit your abstract today!
The Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Conference, hosted by IChemE with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), will take place on 14–15 October 2026 in Manchester, UK.
The event comes at a key moment for the hydrogen economy as governments and industries accelerate net-zero strategies and hydrogen moves closer to large-scale deployment. The conference will focus on practical implementation, addressing the challenges of production, storage, infrastructure, investment, policy, and end-use applications.
Bringing together industry leaders, academics, policymakers, regulators, and technology developers, the event will provide a forum for collaboration across the hydrogen value chain. The programme will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, and technical sessions exploring both innovation and deployment barriers.
The conference also reflects the growing collaboration between IChemE and AIChE, supporting international efforts to connect engineering expertise with policy and investment communities to accelerate hydrogen adoption worldwide.
Alongside the technical programme, sponsorship and exhibition opportunities will allow organisations to showcase technologies, develop partnerships, and explore commercial opportunities.
Steve Flynn, Steering Committee Chair, said: “Hydrogen will play an essential role in future energy systems. This event will bring together industry, business, policymakers and innovators to share progress, international perspectives and breakthroughs, while helping shape policy to support the transition to net zero.”
Professionals across the hydrogen value chain are invited to submit abstracts by 25 May 2026, register to attend, and explore sponsorship and exhibition opportunities via the IChemE conference website.
