About this presentation
Digital transformation, digitization and industrial internet of things all seem to be great concepts that can bring enormous savings to those who can utilise them. Often these solutions can be expensive to implement, standalone and not in keeping with the latest cybersecurity standards.
There is a concept of ‘known solutions to known problems’. In this talk we’ll explore a few of those known solutions and how they can be deployed. This could be from lost efficiencies in heat exchangers, pump health problems or capturing steam losses.
Will is a Wireless Specialist at Emerson and is responsible for helping to deploy WiFi and WirelessHART technology throughout major industrial and process environments in the UK. This might be process monitoring systems, corrosion or condition-based monitoring solutions depending on the challenge.
Prior to this he has worked as a Robotics and Automation Account Manager, Instrumentation Sales Engineer and Instrument Project Engineer based in Aberdeen. He graduated in 2012 with a Masters Degree in Physics and Mathematics where he also took an industrial placement as a software developer in E.ONs Condition Monitoring and Vibration Analysis team. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Process Automation from Imperial College.
