About this presentation
Its relatively easy to develop siloed IIoT solutions, but the greatest benefits are derived from integrating different types of data from multiple collection/ transmission systems, locations and instrumentation technologies into a single platform, maximising the potential to manipulate data and derive strategic benefits.
How is this achieved? This presentation considers how to combine data from multiple operational procedures, such as on-site inventory management and distribution logistics, illustrated with real application examples. We will discuss how such a holistic digital transformation solution can be designed to minimise initial investment, getting data flowing immediately and then expanding using a broad range of existing and developing data measurement, capture and communication technologies, building up to an entire local or global estate of connected assets.
Digital transformation is an undeniable global revolution! It delivers fundamental change to how we operate and offers exceptional value through innovation, efficiency, safety and service. Whether you are taking your first tentative steps into digital transformation and wondering how to ensure that those foundations will be affordable and scalable. Or you’d like to expand the range and volume of data acquired to gain greater insight and knowledge we’d love to host you at this structured, interactive discussion.
Speaker Bio:
Will has been involved in the Chemical Industry in various ways for about 10 years now. Starting off as Instrument Project Engineer for Emerson before being involved in Digital Transformation particularly Wireless Technology deployment (known as Willy Wireless for a time!). In his role at PowTechnology, he develops industrial solutions for a broad range of industries and applications. There is still a heavy focus on measurement technology that’s required. Ultimately he is there to help solve problems and get the data that you need. Will has spoken at previous CHEMUK events as part of the GAMBICA Panel on energy efficiency and looks forward to being part of this event!
