Miniflux Sanitary IBC Pump
The Miniflux IBC tank pump is a compact, horizontally mounted centrifugal pump designed to empty IBCs directly through their bottom outlet. It provides an ideal solution when using a vertical pump through the top opening is impractical or undesirable. Miniflux delivers fast, efficient liquid transfer—perfect when gravity flow is too slow or when pumping to elevated discharge points such as mezzanine floors or filling machine hoppers. Built from 316L stainless steel and ETFE, the Miniflux offers a choice of o‑ring materials to suit a wide range of liquids. It is powered by our standard electric or air drive motors and features the FLUX modular design, allowing the motor to be quickly attached or removed using a simple quick‑release union. This means a single F 400 series motor can be used across multiple pumps, helping reduce overall equipment costs. The Miniflux also carries ATEX certification, ensuring safe, compliant operation when handling flammable liquids or working in hazardous areas.

Mixing Carbopol or Xanthan Gum
The challenges of mixing in the chemical industry: How to overcome them successfully. Blending thickening agents is one of the most demanding processes in the chemical and cosmetic industry. Walk through five common challenges and how to tackle them! Imagine working with a dispersion of 5% Xanthan and 8% Carbopol. With conventional methods, achieving a homogeneous mixture can require hours of agitation in tanks. But what if you could obtain a completely uniform, lump-free dispersion in a matter of minutes? The answer is VISCOVAK, Vak Kimsa's in-line mixing solution, designed to achieve instantaneous and flawless thickener dispersions. Its two main advantages are a drastic reduction in production time while maintaining excellent quality, and the ability to work with the highest thickener concentrations on the market. For years, VISCOVAK has transformed processes that used to take hours into operations lasting just a few minutes. What obstacles commonly arise in the mixing of chemical products? The mixing of chemical substances is a key procedure in numerous industrial sectors, but it is far from a straightforward operation. Differences in viscosity and density, the hygroscopicity of solids, sedimentation phenomena, or the risks associated with certain reactions mean that each process has its own specific challenges. Let's review the five most common obstacles and how to address them. 1. Formation of agglomerates during dispersion 2. Phase separation between components 3. Sedimentation of solid particles 4. Heat transfer difficulties 5. Unwanted reactions caused by excessive shear 𝗘𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲: 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 As can be seen, overcoming the challenges of industrial mixing does not depend on a magic formula, but on a thorough analysis of the process before designing the solution. There is no one-size-fits-all answer: each case requires its own approach.

Mixing minerals, clays and thickeners to create industrial drilling fluids
Efficient Mixing Technology Improves Drilling Fluid Production Manufacturers of drilling fluids and industrial mud systems are under increasing pressure to ensure consistent quality, stable suspensions and efficient production. A new approach using advanced powder mixing technology is helping address these challenges by improving how minerals, clays and thickeners are incorporated into liquid systems. Reliable powder dispersion is critical in drilling fluid production, where uneven mixing can lead to unstable suspensions, inconsistent viscosity and reduced performance in demanding onshore and offshore environments. Traditional induction methods often struggle to fully hydrate and disperse powders, resulting in longer processing times and variable product quality. To overcome these limitations, a global drilling fluid producer implemented a high-shear powder mixing solution from Fristam. The system combines a liquid-ring pump for controlled liquid induction with an inline rotor–stator shear blender, enabling rapid wetting and dispersion of powders in a closed process. During operation, minerals, bentonite and thickeners are drawn into the liquid stream and immediately subjected to high shear. This ensures fast, uniform incorporation and eliminates the need for extended downstream mixing or recirculation. The result is a stable, homogeneous drilling fluid with consistent rheological properties, supporting reliable performance in demanding drilling conditions. The improved process also reduces batch times and enhances overall production efficiency. Following successful implementation, the system was scaled up to a larger high-shear unit for full production, confirming its effectiveness for industrial applications. This development highlights how advanced inline powder mixing can improve product consistency, reduce processing time and deliver more reliable performance in drilling fluid manufacturing.

MTP: The bridge between efficiency and flexibility
Shorter product life cycles require innovations in plant engineering. Although modular design has proven to reduce costs, its widespread use has so far failed due to a lack of compatibility between control systems from different manufacturers. The Module Type Package (MTP) can be the solution to this problem. But what exactly is MTP? 🔌Plug and Produce: MTP is a standardized interface that allows modules to be installed regardless of their origin. Put simply, MTP allows us to summarize information in the form of assembly instructions that enable the recipient to get started right away. 💭Complete Communication:: In detail, it simplifies communication between the modules, called PEA (Process Equipment Assembly), and the process control level, called POL (Process Orchestration Layer). The MTP file contains the services provided by the PEA, operating screens, signals to and from the modules, and alarm messages from the PEA. ⚙️Reproduce Results:: This simplifies communication between the modules and reduces the error rate when rebuilding or reconstructing systems. Graphic showing efficiency gains through MTP As part of the Reunion research project, we recently assembled a fully automated MTP system and see great potential in this form of modular plant engineering. For the first time, MTP is running directly on three interconnected LabBoxes. If you have any further questions about MTP, or would like to know how the „Plug and Play-Principle“ can help you with your next plant project, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our project engineers will be happy to assist you.

NetterVibration Supplies Factory With Customized Sieving/Sorting Feeder
A medium-sized manufacturer produces a vast quantity of chocolate eggs and balls in various formats every year. The eggs are made from two halves, which are filled and then joined together. During the production process, a mixture of whole eggs, half shells and smaller fragments is regularly created due to technical factors, all of which are removed together from the moulds. Manual sorting had previously been time-consuming, error-prone, ergonomically challenging and resulted in high personnel costs.
