Operator Panels, HMI, PLC, IO & Comms

Pageant is an intrinsically safe, panel mounting, 7 inch (177mm) backlit Operator Display with touch buttons. It accommodates a plug-in CPU (Central Processing Unit) module containing CODESYS® software, plus a choice of up to seven plug-in input and output modules, all powered by a single BEKA Power Isolator. Pageant can operate alone, or as part of an integrated system to provide economical monitoring, control and communications for a vast range of hazardous area applications. Common uses include the control and monitoring of pharmaceutical coating machines, mud pumps, flammable liquid stills, batch control for filling and emptying, plus milling and mixing in combustible dust atmospheres.

4/20mA Loop powered indicators

These UK designed and manufactured instruments include fourth generation models which have even larger displays, more digits and international certification complying with the latest standards for the hazardous area models. The range now includes increased safety Ex eb and Ex tb models which are a lower cost alternative for flameproof indicators, but have much larger easy to see displays. Indicators can be supplied ready to install with customer specified calibration, scale and tag marking for no additional charge.

4/20mA Loop Powered Indicators, Ex eb and Ex tb, field mounting Lower cost alternative for flameproof Ex d indicators

These loop powered increased safety Ex eb certified indicators are a lower cost alternative to flameproof Ex d indicators, featuring large high contrast displays with a very wide viewing angle. They may be connected into any 4/20mA Zone 1 or 2 loop with any type of explosion protection apart from intrinsic safety. The indicators also have dust ignition protection by enclosure Ex tb allowing installation in Zones 21 and 22. No additional charge is made for factory calibration or for scale and tag marking, although the indicators can easily be recalibrated on-site.

BA329-GL and BA329-PC Eight input 4/20mA externally powered indicators

These UK designed and manufactured intrinsically safe indicators can display up to eight 4/20mA inputs on a 7 inch backlit display. Inputs can be shown singly, or in groups of 2, 4 or 8 with individual units of measurement and tag information. No programming is required. The BA329 is easily configured and calibrated via the 8 front panel touch buttons using a simple intuitive menu. If a Configuration Table is completed when the BA329 indicator is ordered, the indicator can be supplied configured and calibrated ready for installation for no additional charge. International Ex ia intrinsic safety certification allows installation in Zones 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 or 22 hazardous areas. In addition to intrinsic safety, the BA329-PC has a certified impact and ingress protected front allowing installation in an Ex e or Ex t enclosure without invalidating the enclosure's apparatus certification.

Modbus RTU displays

These Modbus RTU displays incorporate a high contrast backlit display and buttons to form a low cost operator interface which is ideal for simple process and machine control applications. The displays support Modbus RTU protocol and include standard screen formats that can display up to eight variables on each screen, some with bargraphs. The intrinsically safe models communicate and are powered from a galvanic isolator in the safe area, refer to each product for details. For intrinsically safe devices, the communication isolators will offer RS232 or RS485 ports. The general purpose models are separately powered and have RS232 and RS485 ports.

Fieldbus displays

These versatile instruments have eleven selectable standard screen formats containing one, two, three, four or eight fieldbus process variables, some with bargraphs, together with units of measurement and descriptions. Up to eight fieldbus variables may therefore be viewed simultaneously on a single display screen. Front panel push buttons allow the operator to scroll between screens. These fieldbus displays are compatable with all common FOUNDATION™ fieldbus or PROFIBUS PA host.

Process panel meters, General purpose

High quality universal process panel meters featuring a bold five digit display and bargraph visible in most lighting conditions. The display colour can be configured on-site to match other instrumentation and can change to show the meter's alarm status. The meters have process current, voltage and resistance thermometer inputs and are available for use with a low voltage dc or mains power supply. The rugged A90-SS has a Stainless Steel enclosure and a toughened glass window suitable for installation in areas where it may be impacted. Meters are supplied calibrated to customer's requirement including a printed scale card for no additional charge.

Set point stations [set point generators]

Loop powered set point stations (set point generators) enable the current flowing in a 4/20mA loop to be manually adjusted from within a process area. The set point station's digital display may be calibrated to show the 4/20mA current in engineering units, thus allowing an operator to easily adjust a controller set point or an actuator position. Optional rugged 316 stainless steel enclosure provides front of panel impact and IP66 protection, allowing installation into an aperture in an Ex e, Ex p or Ex t certified panel enclosure without invalidating the panel enclosure's certification.
