NEW 7 Digit Loop Powered Indicator Released

INTRODUCING BEKA's NEW panel mounting indicator featuring 7 digits, each 18mm high

Since the installation of the first BEKA loop powered indicator in 1984, BEKA associates have consistently led the way in indicator development and are now producing fourth generation models. While our extensive range of 4 and 5 digit models satisfies most requirements, some customers have expressed the need for additional digits.

In response, BEKA has introduced a new panel mounting indicator featuring 7 digits, each 18mm high. Based on the well established 5 digit BA528E, the new BA528E SP101 offers two extra digits that can be configured as active digits, or as dummy trailing digits displaying 0. To minimise the effect of noise which becomes more significant as the display resolution is increased, the indicator includes an adjustable digital filter with a jump-out function. This feature defines the input change threshold at which the filter is overridden, and the display moves quickly towards a new value.

The BA528E SP101 is housed in a 144 x 72 mm DIN enclosure with an IP66 front panel, and has a gasket to seal the joint between the indicator and the mounting panel, making it suitable for installation in wash down environments. The new indicator includes a square root extractor, a sixteen-segment lineariser, an internal calibrator, and a tare function. A scale card located behind a window adjacent to the display, marked with the indicator's units of measurement, can easily be changed on-site without removing the indicator from the panel, or opening the instrument enclosure.

Optional accessories include a backlight that can be loop or separately powered, and dual alarms with isolated solid state outputs.
