ET - Ceramic Lined Double Mechanical Seal Chemical Process Pump
Chemical resistance is a problem in your process? – CP’s ceramic lined pump is thanks to its high qualitative CP technology the proper solution. The double mechanical seal FuturaMik® developed by CP’s experts allows the handling of high solid laden fluids. On product side it is completely non-metallic which prevents the mechanical seals' units from sticking. Using centrifugal force and a special design the solids can be kept away from the seal. Benefit from low NPSH values and high efficiency by using an open, soil resistant impeller. Also, take advantage of chemical resistance thanks to a high qualitative, non-corrosive, abrasion and diffusion resistant industrial ceramic lined casing whose lining is strongly fixed to it.

Ethernet-APL
From hazardous areas to the cloud: with ranges of up to 1000 meters and transmission speeds of 10 Mbit/s, Ethernet-APL is paving the way for the Internet of Things in process automation. Existing installations can be used and existing plants can be modernized at low cost. Decades of experience make us a competent partner as you prepare for Industry 4.0. The Ethernet-APL rail field switch is the first switch with Ethernet-APL. It allows users in process plants to deploy Ethernet beyond the control room throughout the plant for the first time. The field switch provides seamless, transparent and simultaneous access to field instrumentation. It enables entirely new applications and therefore new work processes for how users work with instrumentation and all other devices installed in the field of process plants. This brings digital communication via two-wire Ethernet into the field of process plants and allows for easy implementation of IIoT applications into process automation applications. All parties involved, from the planner to the user to the maintenance personnel, are therefore able to reduce risks and increase safety, quality and yield. The fastest and most efficient way to continuously communicate large amounts of data from hazardous areas to the cloud *Cable length of up to 1,000 m and a transfer rate of 10 Mbit/s *Two-wire cable: Data and power are transmitted simultaneously along the same cable *Common physical layer for all devices that provides barrier-free communication between the office and the field *Access to valuable field device data anytime, anywhere enhances transparency and control *Enables analytics based on previously unavailable data for improved plant performance and availability *Easy migration and simple, cost-effective plant modernization with automatic detection of fieldbus communication

Expansion Joints for FCCU
Expansion joints used in FCCU service are exposed to high temperatures, high pressures, large movement conditions and very aggressive media and therefore they are considered highly engineered units and one of the most critical and complex types of expansion joints manufactured. The design of these expansion joints is complex because: -They must be suitable to operate at high process temperatures -They must be resistant to erosion by catalyst -They must be resistant to corrosion and stress corrosion cracking during operation and shutdown conditions -They shall ensure an adequate fatigue life -They must absorb large movements -They shall ensure a good pressure resistance capacity while having a good flexibility MACOGA has advanced capabilities to design and analyse FCCU Expansion Joints and all its components and accessories operating at high temperatures. Our analysis tools, e.g. non-linear finite element stress and heat transfer analysis (FEA) make possible to analyse complex components. With our 3D mechanical CAD software our engineers design FCCU Expansion Joints to the same conditions that they’ll experience in the real world before they have been built. This is a design validation tool that helps our engineers to test the designs earlier in the design cycle and against real-world conditions. This lead us to improved design quality and manufacturing efficiency, while reducing time to market, costs and materials waste. FEA/CFD Our engineers are skilled in using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computer Fluids Dynamics (CFD) to analyze the thermal-mechanical performance of different kind of systems. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) based structural stress analysis is a valuable tool in the evaluation and optimization of product designs for systems including structural stress due to mechanical and thermal loading.

Expansion Joints for Heat Exchangers
Differential axial expansion between the shell and the tube bundle is a well-known problem in fixed tube sheet heat exchanger and pressure vessels design. In heat exchangers, inner tubes and shells frequently do not expand at the same rate due to differences in the materials used, varying temperatures, and other factors. If the heat exchanger is not prepared to control this longitudinal thermal expansion, pressure and dimensional changes in the tubes or shell can cause significant damage to the unit. Expansion joints are promising for accommodating differential thermal expansion of heat exchanger shells. Differences in the axial expansion of the shell and the tube bundle due to high mean metal temperature differentials warrant incorporation of expansion. This is particularly true for fixed tube-sheet exchangers. In most cases, the internal tubes of exchangers are made of nickel alloys or stainless steel material which means that they expand approximately 50% more than carbon steel, which is the material from which the shells are usually manufactured. The most optimal way to manage and control the differences in thermal expansion between tubes and shell is with the installation of expansion joints in the outer shell.

Explosion Severity (Pmax & Kst) Testing
Our UK-based combustible dust testing laboratory generates explosion severity test data for your combustible dusts. This test generates useful data for any dust that can form a flammable atmosphere. It also determines maximum explosion pressure and provides four key values: Pmax – The greatest peak pressure achieved throughout a test series. dP/dtmax – The greatest achieved rate of explosion pressure rise. Kst – A dusts’ explosion severity. St Class – Classification of dusts into classes to help with selection of protective equipment (i.e. explosion suppression and vent sizing). The Explosion Severity test will aid in characterising, preventing, protecting and mitigating combustible dust explosions.
