About this Session

The chemical industry is at the forefront of sustainable development. With increasing societal and regulative pressures to adopt and achieve sustainability, businesses need to be well informed and equipped on their sustainability journey. This session will look at the challenges businesses face in the current sustainability landscape and the potential collaboration has in helping to achieving sustainability.

Sustainability Lead - CBA

Danish has a degree and Masters in Chemical Engineering, focusing on renewable energy. He is now the Sustainability Lead at the CBA where he is driving CBA’s involvement in the development of effective sustainability regulations and works closely with a variety of stakeholders including Government departments and industrial experts. Danish supports CBA members on regulatory compliance, sustainability issues, chemical transportation, and health and safety by promoting transparency, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between industry representatives.

Tony Heslop is Senior Sustainability Manager for BASF in the UK and Ireland. He is a Polymer Chemist by training and has worked in the chemical industry all his working life.  His current role involves helping to support colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders to understand sustainability trends and drivers and find solutions to their problems.  This is done by bringing an expert insight into the corporate sustainability strategy of BASF, the world’s largest chemical company.

Paul is responsible for DHL UK Supply Chain Operations across a number of critical business sectors.  Working across over 30 locations, servicing over 50 customers, Paul’s team deliver a wide variety of specialist services including Warehousing, Transport, Inbound to Manufacturing, In Plant Logistics, Maintenance & Repair Operations (MRO), ADR Transport and COMAH warehousing.

Paul has over 25 years of logistics experience , working in a number of functional areas including Operations Excellence and HR.  He has worked extensively across multiple regions and on a global basis.
