About this presentation

The North East has a rich heritage of chemical manufacturing and the Tees Valley is home to one of the most integrated industrial clusters in the world. The North East process sector is on a journey to net zero, and industrial symbiosis and waste valorisation are essential in enabling this. This talk will cover why the North East is the perfect place for sustainable chemical production, and outline how NEPIC is supporting this transition.

Speaker Bio:

In my role as head of technical, I lead the NEPIC technical team, manage technical projects and work with members to encourage collaboration and growth with the chemical, process, and pharmaceutical sectors.  These sectors in the North East are experiencing rapid growth and undergoing a vast amount of change, and it’s important that NEPIC members work together to share best practice and support regional supply chains.

Through a portfolio of technical events and activities, it’s my responsibility to bring members together to learn from one another and encourage constructive and collaborative conversations.

With an master in Chemistry, and a PhD in materials science and semiconductor physics, I have been with NEPIC since January 2020 and I am extremely passionate about the North East and the sectors we represent.
