About this presentation

In this presentation I will talk in depth about Together for Sustainability’s Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) guideline. I will give an introduction to PCF’s what they are; why they are needed and which incoming regulations they will make it easier to comply with before moving on to TfS itself. In this section I will give an introduction to TfS and its critical mass of member organisations, I attempt to convey why these adopters mean this guideline will likely become to industry standard for PCFs in years to come. Finally, I will finish with some specifics about the guideline and give an introduction to the opensource ‘SiGreen’ software (developed by Siemens) which will help deliver inform, what is becoming an essential characteristic of a product’s performance.

Speaker Bio:

Steven Hughes – EMEA Sustainability manager within Azelis and I currently sit on the WP 5.4 committee within TfS (Together for Sustainability). Before this I have been in the chemical industry for over 10 years following my degrees in Chemistry. Along side these roles I am the Director of a small CIC that delivers urban biodiversity projects and I chair various Regional Sustainability Committees.
