Invest Tees Valley works with the private sector to make investing easy.

The Tees Valley produces 30% of the UK’s chemical output and is home to the largest chemical complex in the UK.

Major industrial assets include deep-water port facilities, an effluent water treatment plant, pipeline networks, underground cavity storage and uninterrupted access to water and key utilities, such as steam, power and industrial gases.

The area was recently granted Freeport status and the 4,500 area is the UK’s biggest and first operational Freeport, offering tax and customs incentives to investors.

Multimillion-pound project Net Zero Teesside will provide low carbon energy alongside carbon capture utilisation and storage for Tees Valley’s industrial cluster, further enhancing the competitive local operating environment. It is the UK’s premier CCUS project.
