    3. Spray Shields

      Spray Shields

FT Gas Control offers a range of bespoke safety spray shields, which are made to suit client application. Designed and developed to contain and detect hazardous spray-out, the shields are deployed to protect equipment and personnel should a leak or spray-out of acids, chlorine, caustics, chlorine and/or other dangerous liquids occur at piping connections. Also known as flange guards, the spray shields are available for all ANSI, DIN, PN, BS flange sizes and produced from polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE, PVC and stainless steel. Manufactured from single and multi-layered clear cloth for easy visibility, PTFE safety shields can also be made from or a coloured cloth with a pH leak-indicating patch. This version features weep holes that allow the patch to not only immediately highlight a leak but also change colour, to green in the presence of an alkali or red if an acid; the safety shield may be reused via simply replacing the pH patch. Shields are appropriate for indoor or outdoor use and are resistant to sun, rain, and fumes and UV stable. Fire and tear resistant with a broad range of chemical resistance, FT Gas Control’s cloth shields are quick and straightforward for one person to install via their Velcro fasteners and drawstrings. Expansion joint shields – manufactured only from single, clear, standard PTFE – also feature a pH leak-indicating patch to signal leaks and weep holes that allow that patch to change colour. Velcro fasteners and draw strings allow the expansion joint shields to be readily attached and allow for any joint movement without impacting effectiveness. These shields are available for and appropriate to all expansion joint styles and brands. 4. SRB (Sulphate Reducing Bacteria) Test Kit

SRB (Sulphate Reducing Bacteria) Test Kit

Sulphate Reducing Bacteria Test Kits | SRB Tests SKU: 10010357 For the semi quantitative detection of Sulphate Reducing Bacteria. Sulphate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) are microorganisms that have the ability to produce corrosive sulphide which can, in turn cause a variety of issues for many industrial sectors – such as the corrosion of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and masonry, discoloration of metal fluids and the production of foul-smelling gases. SRB Test Kits are fast, efficient, and easy to use for the detection of such microbial induced corrosion (MIC) caused by Sulphate Reducing Bacteria, with a large window of detection from bacterial concentrations as little as >10 SRB cfu/ml up to >10⁴ SRB cfu/ml. Results can be interpreted up to 6 days incubation, with high levels of contamination indicated in as little as 24 hours. Each of our semi quantitative SRB Test Kits comprises of x10 plastic tubes filled with selective culture media to encourage the growth of Sulphate Reducing Bacteria. All kits are packaged securely in fitted boxes with an easy-to-follow instruction leaflet, providing all the information required for testing. SRB Test Kits can be used to test a vast range of industrial samples including; Metal working fluids, Lubricants and oils, Water (tanks, environmental, process etc.), Fuel tank sediment, Corrosion pits/surfaces, soil, mud and core. For more information regarding our SRB test kits or for details on bulk order discounts, please feel free to contact us.

    6. stainless steel IBC totes with capacities ranging from 500 to 1,100 liters.

stainless steel IBC totes with capacities ranging from 500 to 1,100 liters.

The HOYER portfolio includes stainless steel IBC totes with capacities ranging from 500 to 1,100 liters. They are safer and more durable than plastic versions and are particularly suitable for use in the paint and coatings industry, but are also in demand for flammable liquids and aggressive media such as acids, alkalis, and flammable liquids. In addition, they are very easy to clean. This is a decisive advantage over plastic IBC totes for high-purity or reactive products, as even the smallest impurities can severely impair the quality of the products. Aseptic IBC totes are also part of the range, because unlike plastic IBCs, significantly higher temperatures can be used during cleaning.

These exacting quality standards to which Atom are one of the few UK manufacturers in full compliance means we can play a part in our laboratory customers’ own compliance with quality management systems, such as ISO15189 for quality and competence in medical laboratories. Since 2018, Atom have participated in the UK NEQAS CPT (Cellular Pathology Technique) scheme as an independent validation of our in-house lab testing results.

    8. Steam Ejectors & Vacuum Systems

      Steam Ejectors & Vacuum Systems

Transvac Steam Ejectors; also known as Steam Jet Ejectors or Steam Eductors are used for creating vacuum across many industries. Applications range from coarse vacuum single stage Steam Ejectors; such as rapid evacuation Ejectors (also known as ‘Hoggers’) up to 5 stage Steam Jet Ejector Systems fully packaged to produce vacuum levels of up to 25 microns Hg abs. Modern, energy efficient Steam Jet Ejector Systems offer many advantages when compared with other vacuum producing systems, such as mechanical Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps, Rotary Vane or Screw type Vacuum Pump. Steam Jet Ejectors can often utilise surplus motive steam sources on site and need no additional energy.
