Canisters
WERIT is your specialist in the manufacturing of industry-specific industrial packaging products. Here, our wide range of products support companies from a full range of industries in the storing and transportation of various liquid and pasty raw materials in an economical and optimum manner. In the production, we put our focus on specifically producing those canister options, with filling volumes of 20 and 25 litres, demanded by the foodstuffs and chemical industries and considered standard in these industries and their sub-sectors. The WERIT Plastic Canisters fulfil both the high UN norms (Y1.9) and the individual demands of our customers. - Avoid dangerous spray during emptying - Precise dosing - Guaranteed emptying of residues - Versatile application due to hazardous goods approval - Optimised pallet layout (17 pieces per level) - Optimum stacking properties - Large labelling area HDPE canister We manufacture all products from so-called High Density Polyethylene. This thermoplastic HDPE plastic convinces thanks to a range of positive material properties, such as a high level of robustness and resistance. The WERIT PE Canisters have optimum deformation properties and are also resistant to most alkalis, acids and other chemical bonds. Even at temperatures of minus 40 and plus 70 degrees Celsius, our plastic canisters keep their shape and are therefore always ready for use. Being a customer of WERIT, you will benefit from a wide range of products. Our canister range produced from HDPE new goods in Manchester (UK), is distinguished by a broad selection of weight classes and at the same time a wide range of colour options. In addition to our standard canisters, we also offer our Ecovent® special canisters. The patented Ecovent® process allows you to empty containers without leaving any residue, thanks to the continuous flow of air, and also allows for spray-free pouring with an even flow - meaning that dangerous sprays are also a thing of the past.

Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail & Road
This course will teach delegates to correctly prepare shipments of dangerous goods for transport by rail and road. Ideal for delegates new to dangerous goods transport, or looking to understand where the rail regulations differ from road. The course begins with a road module and goes on to cover wagon placarding, shunting, and COLIS Express, meeting the regulatory requirements for shippers detailed in the ADR (road) and RID (rail) regulations.

Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) & Sea (IMDG)
This course will teach delegates to correctly prepare shipments of dangerous goods for transport by road & sea and meets the regulatory requirements for shippers detailed in the IMDG (sea) and ADR (road) regulations. Available online and in the classroom.

Carriage of Excepted & Limited Quantities by Air, Road & Sea
Developed to provide condensed and compliant training to shippers of dangerous goods in small quantities or retail packaging, this course covers solely transport of dangerous goods in excepted and limited quantities. Excepted and limited quantities are allowances within the regulations designed to simplify shipping of small volumes of dangerous goods. Successful candidates receive two certificates of competence, one for air valid for two years, and another for road & sea.

Carriage of Lithium Batteries by Air, Road & Sea
Designed for shippers of batteries by air road and sea, the course covers Lithium Ion, Lithium metal batteries and Sodium Ion batteries packed on their own and with equipment, along with battery powered vehicles. The training can be taken by both individuals solely shipping lithium batteries and those shipping a range of dangerous goods seeking in depth training on battery transport. Available online and in the classroom.

Carriage of Radioactive Material by Air
This specialist and in-depth training will equip delegates with an understanding of the regulations and knowledge of the practicalities of moving radioactive material by air. Successful candidates receive a certificate of competence valid for two years, (after which they must revalidate their qualification).

Carriage of Radioactive Material by Road & Sea
This specialist and in-depth training will equip delegates with an understanding of the regulations and knowledge of the practicalities of moving radioactive material by road and sea, in line with the ADR and IMDG regulations. Included in the price are loan copies of the latest ADR and IMDG regulations.

Case Study- Metering Methyl Methacrylate from IBC’s
PROBLEM The customer faced problems in accurately transferring highly flammable MMA from IBC’s into their mixing vessel. They wanted to ensure that the correct volume was transferred into their process at all times, reduce waste and spill risk, plus improve safety and increase transfer speed. SOLUTION Flux developed a portable, ATEX (Ex) approved pump system designed for safe operation in hazardous Zoned areas where flammable vapours are present. To handle MMA—a low‑density, low‑viscosity chemical—we supplied a robust trolley‑mounted F430 stainless steel 316 pump fitted with Kalrez and PTFE seals for superior chemical resistance. The solution incorporated an F460 Ex drive motor, FMC flowmeter with Fluxtronic batch controller, and an Ex‑rated FSV amplifier for precise switching. Conductive hoses with swaged connections and a custom‑engineered filling lance completed this fully compliant, high‑performance pumping package

CAT Overhead & Magnetic Stirrers
CAT Scientific has been manufacturing high performance laboratory equipment in Germany for 50 years, and employs a team of dedicated staff members in development, design, assembly and quality control roles. Overhead Stirrers The CAT range of powerful overhead mixers and stirrers are suitable for a wide range of laboratory and industrial applications. Whether you need a handheld stirrer for small tasks or a heavy duty stirrer for larger projects, the CAT range offers high power mixing for most professional requirements Magnetic Stirrers/Hotplates CAT magnetic stirrers are made with high quality, robust materials which make them ideal for a variety of professional laboratory applications. The hotplates feature heating coils embedded in stainless steel tubing for increased safety, and the motors employ electronic feed-back speed control. The magnetic stirrers all feature powerful magnets for maximum performance, even with a viscous medium. A most units feature soft-start function, preventing stir bar decoupling and potentially splashing. All magnetic stirrers feature an acid resistant epoxy-finished chassis, with grade 304 stainless steel cover.

Catalyst V8e Label / Laser Marking System
The Catalyst V8e Laser Marking System produces asset tags, barcode/QR code labels, serial tags, warning labels, instruction panels, and many other industrial labels that must withstand rough environmental conditions for many years. It combines printing onto highly durable, pre-laminated label substrates with a built-in Digital Die-Cutting™ system for producing labels of any shape or size. As no add-on filtration or fume extraction equipment is required, this laser-marking label printer reduces the initial equipment and ongoing maintenance costs. The Catalyst V8e - uses a patent-pending, bundle package of fiber-coupled laser diodes that laser-images onto a laser film. This laser film (CLF), developed and manufactured by Schreiner, is an unique pre-laminated material that is very resistant to environmental damage and degradation from chemicals, blowing sand and other abrasion. During the phase-change process that makes the image appear underneath the clear, protective laminate the laser generates no smoke or fumes. Other laser marking systems use the laser to cut out the label's shape and size, but create smoke and fumes. The Catalyst V8e, by contrast, uses an X/Y knife blade plotter that cuts through the CLF material resulting in zero smoke or fumes with no need for filtration or noisy smoke extraction.

Cell Counting Kit-8, CCK-8
Detection of mammalian cell viability with WST-8 reagent. Used for indirect detection of the number of live cells in scenarios such as analysis and detection of bioactive factors, screening of anti-tumour drugs, cell proliferation, toxicity and drug sensitivity testing.

Cen-Stat™ Clamps, Cables and Reels
Newson Gale certified Clamps and Cen-Stat anti-static Hytrel coated cables are designed to enable hazardous area operators to achieve an effective static earth connection to portable / mobile items of plant, in order to safely dissipate static electricity. The Cen-Stat range of clamps, cables and reels are single circuit applications that rely on high strength mechanical circuits to dissipate static electricity from potentially charged equipment and are subjected to rigorous FM & ATEX testing standards.
