LinkedIn Page - IMechE Process Industries Division

In an era of rapid decarbonization and AI integration, "siloed" engineering is no longer enough. The IMechE Process Industries LinkedIn Network is more than a social page—it is a High-Velocity Knowledge Ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between theoretical engineering and industrial application. The Challenge: A Triple Threat Global process industries (Oil & Gas, Pharma, Food, and Power) face a critical convergence: The urgent mandate for Net Zero transitions. The complex implementation of Industry 4.0 tech. A widening skills gap as senior expertise retires. Our Innovative Solution We have transformed the traditional professional body model into a Digital Center of Excellence. By joining our network, professionals access a real-time intelligence feed that prioritizes: Cross-Sector Knowledge Transfer: We facilitate the "cross-pollination" of ideas. A breakthrough in pharmaceutical filtration could solve a carbon capture challenge. We identify these synergies to accelerate innovation. Expert-Led Content: Through curated webinars, live Q&A, and technical whitepapers, we provide "Chartered-level" insights that are peer-reviewed and immediately actionable. The Global Engineering Brain: This collaborative space allows 120,000+ members to solve real-world plant challenges in real-time, reducing downtime and advancing safer, greener technologies. Experience It At Our Stand At our event stand, the "Innovation Gallery" comes to life. We move beyond static brochures to offer a Live Knowledge Navigator. Visitors can interact with digital archives, join live technical debates, and connect directly with the IMechE Process Industries Board—the minds shaping future global engineering standards. Don’t just watch the industry evolve. Lead it with the IMechE Process Industries Network.

    4. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps & Systems

Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps & Systems

Liquid ring vacuum pumps are available in a wide range of metallurgies and sealing options to suit specific applications, including use in hazardous flammable and explosive areas. Their versatility and reliability means they are widely used in facilities of all sizes and across many industries. Available as single- or two-stage liquid ring units, these pumps can handle high volumes of vapours, condensable gases and liquids without compromising performance or mechanical reliability. The service liquid – water or other liquids, oils or solvents – can be selected to suit almost any application. When clean water is used, the aspirated air is ‘washed’ free of contaminants such as oil, carbon or plastics. Liquid ring vacuum pumps are designed for simplicity and reliability. Fewer components simplifies maintenance, while minimal moving parts eliminate metal-to-metal contact, significantly reducing vibration, noise and wear. Key features: • Duties up to 3500 m3/h • Max vacuum: 33mbar • Single or double mechanical seal (DIN 24960 standard) • Designed and manufactured to ISO 9001 standards • Close-coupled and long-coupled options with open impeller • Can handle gases and vapours • Fewer components for improved rigidity and easier maintenance • Compact dimensions with reduced shaft length minimising deflection and vibration • Simple design with no valves or sliding vanes • Impeller is the only rotating part – no metal-to-metal contact, reducing wear and tear • ATEX certification available on request Materials of construction: • Cast iron, AISI 316, Ni-Resist D2B, Hastelloy B, Hastelloy C, Uranus B6 and exotic alloys. Liquid Ring Vacuum Systems: We also offer complete vacuum systems comprising of a liquid ring pump, air-liquid cyclone separator and a heat exchanger mounted on a compact skid.
